Welcome iPhone and iPad art admirers and creators!

Just to get one thing clear right at the outset, we are not artists – not by a long shot – and we are not art experts or connoisseurs.  We are just folks who have noticed that the iPhone and iPad are becoming increasingly popular and even essential tools for many accomplished artists, and have a deep admiration for and fascination with the art being created with our favorite mobile devices.

We’re continually amazed at the drawings and paintings being created on the iPhone OS, and of the excellent apps being used to generate this art.  We’re also big fans of the artistic work being done in terms of iPhone photography, videography, and music.

Our site’s masthead (header image) was created by a real live iPhone artist as well. Corliss Blakely is an ‘artist in Vermont’, a nationally recognized painter whose work hangs around the world, and has recently found that the iPhone is one of her favorite mediums for creating new art.  We are hugely grateful to her for creating our site banner image and for being an enthusiastic (and talented!) site supporter.  Please give her excellent work a look when you have a chance, at her site HERE.

They say a picture speaks a thousand words – and the iPhone and iPad art we’ll show off here very much does justice to that phrase.  So we’re going to do our best to keep our words to a minimum and let the creations do most of the talking for themselves.  We’re also keen to cover some of the wonderful apps out there that are being used by great iPhone and iPad artists in a number of fields.

We hope you’ll enjoy the content here as much as we do, and we hope you’ll share yours with us if the mood strikes.
