I’m continually discovering stunning new iPhone art – sometimes via the many Flickr groups that showcase this form, or even focus on work with particular iPhone apps , and also often via recommendations from friends like David Leibowitz.
Jose Andres Guijarro Ponce is one of the artists David recently recommended, and another whose work I thoroughly enjoy seeing every day now. I especially love this piece posted to his Flickr stream, and created with Brushes. I’ve been to Spain a lot, but don’t know the Cantabria region at all – but I’m guessing this is a fairly famous landmark.
I also love his work on paintings of people, including a recent one of Paco and his guitar.
Jose Andres is known as la legra negra – and his Flickr stream is worth following and checking as often as you possibly can – you’ll find it HERE.

Cantabria whole is beautiful. You need visit it. This lighthouse is a beautiful and hidden corner. On the road he can see two curious specimens of human misery: Prison of Dueso and fabulous Berria beach with a graveyard on the same beach sand.
I would love to visit someday. Closest I have been is a few places in the Basque Country – Vitoria and Bilbao. That lighthouse absolutely seems a beautiful landmark, and those other specimens sound impressive as well.
Thanks for sharing some of the background!
Bravo! Jose Andres….”Paco and his Guitar” is a 21st century modern masterpiece.
