My Picture by Asha Hickok

It’s Labor Day here in the US – a day for families and enjoying the ending stages of the summer.  Here’s a painting  that has both a fresh, summery feel to it and a ‘family’ theme.  It’s a creation by Asha Hickok, who is the granddaughter of Corliss Blakely – whose wonderful iPhone and iPad art we have frequently shared here.

Here is Asha’s description of her artwork:

I was outside when I thought of drawing this.This is yet another one of my great drawings.I am inspired by life and Corliss Blakey one of the best artist

Happy Labor Day – hope there are lots of young i-artists out there working on new creations today.

This is a lovely painting. It reminds me of the summers of my childhood – all the bright colors and the sense of freedom. Congratulations, Asha Hickok! Please keep me updated about your future artwork.
